A young man in Jinan, Shandong, is offering 300 yuan ($37) a day, looking for a woman who is willing to pretend to be his girlfriend to please his aging grandmother during Spring Festival.

The 25-year-old man, surnamed Sun, posted a message on an Internet bulletin board saying he was bothered by his parents and grandmother, who called every day, demanding that he bring his girlfriend home for Spring Festival. Sun said his temporary girlfriend must be pleasant, respect his elders and be willing to play mahjong. He also promised an extra bonus if the "girlfriend" succeeds in winning the favors of his family.
