About 300 taxi drivers cooperated on Tuesday to try to catch a motorcycle-riding thief who had robbed a woman on a street in Baoding, Hebei.

Seeing the thief escaping, a taxi driver radioed his colleagues. To his surprise, the drivers joined them soon after the robber hid out in a building on a college campus.

More than 700 others -- including police, students, and college security guards -- helped in searching through the building. Though the robber was not found, local residents spoke highly of their deeds.
