A couple in their 30s paid a hospital in Hankou, Hubei more than 50,000 yuan (US$6,430) on Wednesday for cosmetic surgery so that they could look more like a couple.

The hospital is said to have arranged doctors to study and conduct a series of operations for the husband, surnamed Liu, and his wife, surnamed Chang.

This all began when friends told Liu and Chang they did not look like a couple. A waitress in Liu's restaurant was even mistaken for Chang, apparently because she looks more like Liu than Chang does.
