Diandian, a monkey, is happy these days because he got a girlfriend last Thursday.

Diandian, who lives in the Qinling Wild Animal Zoo in Shaanxi Province, failed in a battle for the throne in his monkey community and was expelled a year ago. He lived alone for a year, and every time zookeepers sent him back to the community, he was beaten.

Early this month, the zoo announced the news that a female monkey from a zoo in Xianyang, a city about 50 kilometers from the Qinling zoo, had become Diandian's bride.
