It is not unusual for dogs to wear clothes or play with toys, but have you ever seen a dog wearing a mask? One dog owner says the mask is to prevent his pet from attacking people.

A local newspaper in Qingdao reports that a doggie wearing a mask was drawing attention among pedestrians on Weihai Street in the city in Shandong Province on Monday.

The owner of the dog says the mask both makes his dog look cuter and prevents it from attacking pedestrians. The mask is made from a plastic bottle, and while wearing it the dog cannot fully open its mouth, but can still breathe normally.
