A dark restaurant, apparently the second of its type in China, was built in Dalian, Liaoning, last week, and diners should be eating there soon in total darkness.

Customers may go to the tables after placing their belongings in lockers. With customers' hands on their shoulders, the waiters will lead them to their tables. Because it's pitch black inside, waiters wear night-vision goggles to find their way.

A manager surnamed Xiong said he hopes customers can enjoy their food like blind people and experience what the blind people feel about the world and thus show more concern for the disabled.

The first dark restaurant in China opened in Beijing.
