Peng Xiangtao and Hu Wu, both in their early 20s, are from Zengjia town in the Shaping District of Chongqing. They have spent more than a year and more than 20,000 yuan ($2,580) making the aircraft, which is more than 2 meters long. It is very simple; for example, its oil tank is made of an old sauce boat.

On January 30, the aircraft flew and attracted hundreds of onlookers in the town. Fearing that the airship could cause safety problems for onlookers, police ordered it to stop after it flew more than 1,000 metres.
