Lao Le, 61, a retired man from Xi'an, capital of Northwest Shaanxi Province, loves telling jokes.

Although he tells jokes alone in a room using Shaanxi and Henan dialects, as well as a little Chinglish, he is known by a huge number of people across the country. From 2005 he began recording his jokes as a podcast, and he laughed his way to 13th in the national podcast competition in 2006.
