Three middle school students lost their voices completely on Saturday, the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, after singing at the tops of their voices for hours at a karaoke bar in Shenyang, Liaoning.

The three singers had a competition with one another that night to see who could sing best. To their surprise, they all were mute the next morning.

Checking the singers, a doctor found that their vocal cords had been seriously damaged. He scolded them for singing too much and too intensely.
