A 91-year-old professor surnamed Liu will be married in a grand wedding ceremony at a church in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, next month.

Liu's bride, also surnamed Liu, 58, is a music teacher at a high school. She beat more than 90 other candidates to win Liu's heart in the past two months. Liu, a professor from Wuhan University, sought a wife on the Internet in January. He immediately attracted around 100 candidates from across the country.

Liu was seeking a woman aged between 55 and 70, who was healthy, tender and kind, fond of music and writing, with more than a high-school education and foreign language skills.
