To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved. So it seems to be the case for Li, 30, a private firm manager in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, who felt surprised after his girlfriend installed a GPS (global positioning system) in his car to place him under surveillance.

"I fell in love with my girlfriend one year ago. She is a good girl but she's pretty jealous and wants to know everything I do every day. Though I've done nothing harm to her, I feel embarrassed when I learned that she secretly installed GPS in my car," Li said.
