A group of young people, most of them white-collar workers from Harbin, Heilongjiang, have developed a special way to keep fit by getting together to laugh off their stress.

On Wednesday, they all burst out laughing after one of them made a joke during a gathering at a local park.

Many passers-by were drawn to the joyful group.

"We formed the first laughing club in Harbin as a way to put our members into a better mood and lead a much healthier life," Yang Zheng, the club's founder said, boasting that more than 30 people had joined within the club's first month.

"We hope that more people can lower their stress by laughing away their worries," he said.
